Hi, it’s Dermot again and just the other day I was thinking, could empathy work with online marketing or marketing in general. It is a well-known fact that the emphasis in sales and marketing is moving
away from the product and more on the person.
I decided to Google this and yes there are loads of articles and sites on this subject. Damn it, I thought, I thought I was the first to come up with it!!. But seriously I am glad to see that empathy is being incorporated into marketing strategies.

“Are You Overwhelmed by the internet?”
I don’t know if you find when working online, in whatever you are doing, you become Overwhelmed with Overwhelm, I know that I do.
You want to look up something specific and unless you use a long keyword (and know how to) you end up being bombarded with endless other sites and adds. I find it very distracting and unless I am ultra-focused and extremely disciplined, I can wander off in another direction and be lost for hours in the vastness of the world wide web. Many hours later I’m miles away and have nothing is done, head’s ready to bust. Lost lost lost… Overwhelm par excellence.

“Figure Shit Out”
Hi, its Dermot here. My son got a Lego toy the other day and being only 7 he wasn’t able to build it. Along came Dad, no problem I’ll do it, I loved Lego when I was a child. Little did I know, things have changed in the last 35 years.
It wasn’t the Lego that baffled me, as the pieces haven’t changed much since I was a kid, it was the instructions. I was totally confused!! My 7-year-old son had to help me. It was a humbling experience, to say the least.
